Sweet Potato Paratha/Chapati
Sweet Potatoes are rich in beta-carotene, helps your body get Vitamin A and keeps away certain types of cancers, etc. Following is a simple, tasty dish for kids and elders alike.
Ingredients
Sweet potato – 2 medium sized, cut into 2-3 pieces
Wheat atta – as needed for making 3 chapatis
Salt – as needed
Jaggery (powdered) – as per your taste
Method
- Cook cubed sweet potatoes as you would steam cook idlis.
- Once done, peel the skin. Mash them nicely.
- Add atta, Jaggery, salt over the mashed vegetable and knead as you would need for making parathas or chapatis. If required, sprinkle little water to make into a finely kneaded atta. Leave it for 30 minutes.
- Make balls out of the kneaded atta and roll them out as you would do for chapatis.
- Cook them over a tawa.
- Paratha is ready. This paratha is very tasty and very healthy.
