It is called as mudra of knowledge. You may noticed this mudra, while people doing meditation, and in statues in temple. One of the basic and powerful mudra.
Method of doing gyan mudra:
Touch the tip of the thumb to the tip on the index finger, with the other three fingers stretched out.
Specialty of this gyan mudra:
Its mudra of knowledge, it enhances the knowledge of an individual. The tip of thumb has centers of pituitary and endocrine glands. When we press theses two centers, the two glands work actively.
Duration and place to do:
There is no particular time for this mudra. You cam practice by sitting, standing, or lying on the bed when ever and wherever you are.
But concentrating on the fingers which is pressed.
Keep yourself calm and relax while doing.
